The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Goodies HTX, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience while driving profitability, operational excellence, and team accountability. This leader will oversee all restaurant operations, including the kitchen, front of house, food truck operations, catering, inventory, staffing, training, and financial performance. The Director of Operations reports directly to the Founder & CEO and is responsible for building scalable systems as Goodies expands into multiple locations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and is responsible for ensuring operational consistency, financial discipline, and a winning company culture. Operations Leadership

• Oversee all daily operations for the restaurant, food truck(s), and catering.
• Ensure every shift operates according to Goodies' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain excellence in food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Solve operational issues before they impact guests.

Financial Performance

• Manage labor costs and scheduling.
• Control food costs and waste.
• Review daily sales, labor percentages, food cost, and profitability.
• Develop action plans to improve margins.
• Hold department leaders accountable to financial goals.

People Leadership

• Hire, train, develop, and coach management and hourly employees.
• Conduct weekly leadership meetings.
• Build a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Create clear performance expectations and development plans.
• Handle employee discipline and performance improvement.

Kitchen & Inventory Management

• Ensure prep production meets daily pars.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
• Reduce waste and improve inventory accuracy.
• Maintain recipe consistency across all products.

Guest Experience

• Ensure every guest receives a five-star experience.
• Monitor customer reviews and respond appropriately.
• Resolve guest concerns immediately.
• Implement improvements based on guest feedback.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Develop and improve operational systems.
• Create checklists and accountability tools.
• Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Improve workflow efficiency throughout the business.
• Lead new technology and operational improvements.

Expansion & Growth

• Assist in opening new Goodies locations.
• Standardize operations for scalability.
• Build leadership teams capable of operating independently.
• Prepare systems that support franchising or multi-unit growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant leadership experience.
• Multi-unit restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials.
• Experience managing budgets, labor, and food costs.
• Proven leadership and coaching ability.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience building systems and operational processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
