Receptionist - DepartmentContribute to effective school public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors, and perform clerical duties as requested.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to operate telephone equipmentAbility to type accurately at an acceptable rate of speedAbility to work with students, parents, staff, and the general publicKnowledge of and adherence to district policies and procedures affecting assigned workCore Job Functions:Greet all visitors and substitute teachers courteously, determine their needs, check appointments, and direct or escort them to the proper personAnswer all incoming telephone calls and respond appropriately to requests for informationUse the intercom system to call students from classes at the request of the principalMaintain files and records, update principal's budget and account balancesProcess a variety of forms and maintain appropriate suppliesPerform clerical duties such as typing, sorting, distributing mail, counting and depositing money, filing, and assisting with work overflow as requestedOrder inventories and distribute suppliesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applicationsPerform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the positionCore Values:Excellence in all we do.
