PSG Tech/RRT II

Job Responsibilities Assess patients, clients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex, quickly recognize normal parameters, deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status related to cardio‑pulmonary health; collect clinical data, utilize decision trees and guidelines, and make appropriate decisions during sleep study testing and analysis. Document routine observations, changes in procedure, and significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnography results; record baseline values such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, end‑tidal carbon dioxide, respiratory rates, and heart rates. Synthesize and interpret multiple sources of data, anticipate problems, seek interdisciplinary collaboration, and respond to situations; lead efforts to improve documentation of the plan of care and integration of age‑specific concepts into patient care. Negotiate and navigate the system on behalf of patients and families, lead improvements in processes, maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, and ensure compliance with safety and departmental policies. Advocate for patients, incorporate patient values into care, support colleagues in ethical and clinical decision‑making, and engage the patient’s family to speak for themselves while respecting cultural differences. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related discipline. RT License, Registered RT, or Registered Sleep Technologist.
