It is what we do at Frontier Community Credit Union. We are looking for an experienced individual to fill our Staff Accountant I position in Leavenworth. If you enjoy routine accounting support and following accounting procedures and practices, we encourage you to apply and join the movement!

Our Staff Accountants provide exceptional service by phone, email, and chat to employees and outside vendors. This will include receiving and resolving a wide range of financial requests, such as A/R, A/P, daily settlement processes, journal entry posting, preparing basic reports and reconciliations, and researching and resolving escalated cases.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 5:00 pm

Other Staff Accountant Duties Include:

• Providing prompt, accurate, professional, and friendly service to all of our employees, members, and vendors
• Requires problem-solving skills when the established procedure does not fully address the inquiry
• Understands Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Preparing required daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Maintaining a dependable record of attendance and timeliness

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum one to two years of financial or corporate accounting experience.
• High school diploma or GED, Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and the ability to learn and navigate multiple technology platforms while interacting with employees, members, and vendors.
