Senior AP/AR Specialist

Our client, a local government office, is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist to support their team in Washington, DC!!


Contractor will provide comprehensive Senior Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist, including but not limited to:
- Process weekly sponsorship and grants payments
- Track all payments to program spreadsheets for accuracy
- Monitor and manage the AP inbox for urgent or sensitive items
- Ensure invoices are matched with purchase orders and receipts (3-way matching)
- Process high-value or complex invoices and check requests that junior staff escalate
- Prepare and review weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers)

Contractor will deliver well-documented, efficient, and sustainable Accounts Payable solutions. Knowledge transfer through training and documentation is essential.

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google and large ERPs
- Graduate of any-four-year course, preferable Accounting
- Well-organized
- Thorough knowledge in Oracle application
