SEO and AI Search Specialist

TechnologyAdvice is seeking an SEO and AI Search Specialist to help expand the visibility and reach of its B2B technology content across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms. This remote role will support audience growth by improving content performance, identifying organic growth opportunities, and developing strategies for evolving search experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with editorial teams to implement SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies, analyze search trends, and optimize content for platforms such as Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. This position offers the opportunity to shape how digital content is discovered in the changing landscape of search and AI technology. Key Responsibilities: Monitor organic search performance and identify opportunities to improve traffic, rankings, visibility, and engagement. Conduct keyword research, SERP analysis, competitor analysis, and content gap research. Identify opportunities for content creation, updates, consolidation, internal linking, and SEO improvements. Partner with editorial teams to provide SEO and AEO recommendations before and after content publication. Monitor brand visibility across AI-powered search platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI experiences. Recommend improvements to content structure, direct answers, entity clarity, expert sourcing, original research, tables, and data presentation. Develop and execute SEO and AEO tests to measure optimization impact. Track SEO and AEO performance using metrics such as organic traffic, rankings, impressions, CTR, AI citations, mentions, and referral traffic. Identify technical SEO issues related to crawling, indexing, structured data, site architecture, and Core Web Vitals. Monitor search algorithm updates and evolving AI discovery trends to provide actionable recommendations. Requirements: 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with knowledge of AEO and AI-powered search. Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and content optimization. Experience using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar SEO tools. Experience with keyword research, SERP analysis, competitor research, content audits, and performance analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into practical recommendations. Familiarity with AI discovery platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI search experiences. Understanding of AEO concepts including AI citations, entity authority, structured content, and content retrieval. Experience collaborating with writers and editors to improve content strategies. Ability to test new approaches and adapt strategies based on performance results. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong knowledge of: SEO strategy, technical optimization, and content growth. AI search optimization and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO reporting tools.
