Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

You will be responsible for supporting the build and testing of packaging machinery within the assembly department. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment is properly tested and functioning by assisting with machine trials, material handling, and facility cleanliness.

• Perform machine testing by loading product (powder materials) into hoppers to simulate production conditions.
• Monitor equipment during test runs to ensure proper operation and identify any issues.
• Assist with setup and teardown of machines undergoing testing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by disposing of waste materials and emptying dumpsters as needed.
• Support assembly team with general labor tasks including moving materials, organizing components, and preparing workstations.
• Follow all company safety protocols, especially when handling powders and operating equipment.
• Communicate any machine malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

• Experience in production, general labor, and general production.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with machine operation, machine operating, and assembly.
• Ability to use a tape measure effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly environment is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial equipment preferred.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Enjoy the agility to work heavy overtime of 50-60 hours a week when needed. You will work in a brand new state-of-the-art facility with a breakroom featuring a snack store. This is a long-term direct hire opportunity with potential for leadership promotions.

Work on the 1st Shift from 7am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times. There may be occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. This is a Contract position based out of Wood Dale, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
