Patient Care Technician

Your future role at a glance Location: Milwaukee, WI Facility: Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Department: Float Schedule: Rotating / PRN How you’ll make an impact in this role Aid with movement and placement of patients. Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records. Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Enrollment in a nursing program preferred. Additional Preferences: Current enrollment in a Nursing (ADN/BSN/MSN) program is highly preferred.
