Overview Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $1,901–$2,025 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) in a short-term acute-care hospital setting. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,901–$2,025 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) Start date: 09/14/2026 Setting: Short-term acute-care hospital travel assignment Responsibilities Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy and administer therapy per physician orders and department policy. Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy; monitor patient response; document in electronic medical records and prepare charges as required. Provide care to adult and geriatric patients, including those on ventilation; assist with ventilation management and patient monitoring. Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician orders; maintain accurate flow sheets and records. Assist in department operations, including training and supervising new staff; support nursing colleagues in surveillance of patients and equipment. Communicate recommendations and patient progress to the care team; contribute to treatment plans and pulmonary progress notes. Requirements Education: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Licenses/Certifications: NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT; Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor per AH policy; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS and PALS required at time of hire or within 90 days; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS; Facility-specific: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS per AH policy. Experience: At least two years of recent respiratory care experience; current BLS; current nursing license per state of assignment. Preferred: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Ability: Comfortable working in a short-term acute-care hospital environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
