Position Title: Executive Chef - Corporate Dining (Chicago, IL) Salary: $90K/Yr. - $100K/Yr. | Other Forms of Compensation: Benefits. Bonus Eligible Job Summary Working as the Executive Chef of a high‑end corporate account in downtown Chicago, you will be responsible for the success of the culinary services. The role involves onsite work with the client and front‑of‑house team, as well as operations at the commissary kitchen, providing breakfast, lunch and snack daily, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Operational excellence Build outstanding relationships with clients Manage cost controls and expenditures for the account Plan and create all menus Purchase and manage inventory Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team Plan menus according to established guidelines Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste log sheets Taste completed meals to ensure quality Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas; ensure staff follow and complete schedules as assigned Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within guidelines while ensuring necessary products are available when needed Make decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products, staying within Company guidelines for such products Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits Follow facility, department, and Company safety policies and procedures, including occurrence reporting Participate and attend departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate Preferred Qualifications 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience in a high‑volume setting High‑volume, complex foodservice operations experience – highly desirable Institutional and batch cooking experience Hands‑on chef experience is a must Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, E‑mail, and the Internet Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities ServSafe certification required Background Screening Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening.
