Manual Machinist

This role involves working with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, and other alloys. You will be responsible for setting up and operating manual mills, lathes, and drill press machines, as well as reading blueprints to plan setups and tools required for manufacturing parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and drill press machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints to plan setups and select necessary tools.
• Use precision measuring and gauging tools for inspections.
• Perform setups and tool offsets.
• Layout and manually drill holes in steel plates using bridge ports.
• Drill holes in aluminum and steel tubes following templates.
• Perform countersinking tasks.
• Turn bar stock and tubes on leads of various sizes.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience setting up and running manual mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and Verniers.
• Strong experience in machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication equipment or angle rolling is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conshohocken, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
