Details Work in a 30-bed Observation and Medical-Surgical Unit with telemetry capability at a Level I trauma center Care for a diverse patient population of all ages Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 Supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00 13-week assignment length Required to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays as needed based on department needs Requirements Active RN license (Compact or OK) currently in hand BLS certification required (AHA) Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care Carry out physician and nursing orders Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team Work as part of a collaborative nursing team supported by PCTs and a unit secretary Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment using critical thinking and decisive judgment Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-720007.
