This includes but is not limited to problem determination and trouble shooting networking and personal computer software and hardware. This position also provides support for Systems Operator whenever necessary. REPORTS TO: Director of IT SUPERVISES: Information Technology throughout hotel. WORK ENVIRONMENT Computer Room. Job involves working: around fumes and/or odor KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal: IT Staff, Accounting staff, Department Managers, Executive Committee Members, Sales staff, Catering, Reservations and Front Desk staff. External: Vendors, Guests, Belz Enterprises IT staff, Corporate staff, other Peabody Hotels' staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate associates’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all associates, however busy and whatever time of day. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete knowledge of computer equipment. Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; report shortages to supervisor. Answer telephone according to Peabody Service Excellence® Maintain all network documentation to include all hardware, cabling, software and security. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Follow up on problem resolutions with associates and vendors. Install upgrades and updates to network software. Install new or replacement computer equipment. Maintain computer equipment and monitor systems with regard to performance. Assist management staff with special projects. Execute all regularly scheduled operations jobs. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS Assist Director with all trouble shooting calls from departments Work with all departments on education needs for different systems Requirements QUALIFICATIONS High School Graduate Compute accurate mathematical calculations. Project Management Skills Fluency in English, both verbal and written. Ability to: perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. prioritize and organize. be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. follow directions thoroughly. understand guests’ service needs. work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. work with minimal supervision. maintain confidentiality of guest and associate information and pertinent hotel data. satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers in a courteous, empathetic and discreet manner. maintain regular and punctual attendance. adhere to Peabody grooming standards. 2 years computer networking experience. Certification of previous training in computers. Experience with major software applications. Previous guest relations training. Be familiar with Oracle's Opera PMS. Familiar with implementing large scale application solutions to an entire workforce. PHYSICAL ABILITIES Exert physical effort in transporting up to 100 Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
