Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: 2-3 years of outpatient oncology experience License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS AHA, ONS Must-Have: First-time travelers not accepted No weekend requirements No floating required based on clinic needs Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a hematology oncology unit. The position involves administration of chemotherapy and supportive care. Key responsibilities include managing ports and administering acute treatments. The nurse will be involved in patient education and support. Documentation will be performed using an electronic charting system. The environment requires adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols. The nurse will monitor patients for adverse reactions and responses to treatment. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for comprehensive patient care. Candidates should possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience with intravenous therapy and symptom management is required. This role emphasizes the importance of patient-centered care and advocacy.
