Job SummaryA growing international food manufacturing organization is seeking a Bilingual Japanese Accounting Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Hayward, CA. This is a strong opportunity for someone who values a team-oriented environment, supportive leadership, cross-functional visibility, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on process improvement and financial accuracy.This role offers the chance to contribute to a respected food and beverage production environment where accounting plays a key role in operational success, compliance, and strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll support, month-end close, and year-end close activities.- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.- Coordinate financial reporting, analysis, and communication with Japanese headquarters or international stakeholders.- Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.- Maintain and improve accounting controls, procedures, documentation, and compliance processes.- Support external audits, tax preparation, regulatory reporting, and accounting team development.Compensation and Benefits- Direct hire opportunity.- Salary range: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year.- Location: Hayward, CA.- Health, dental, and vision benefits.- 401(k) with company match.- Paid time off and holidays.Required Qualifications and Skills- Manage daily accounting operations across AP, AR, general ledger, payroll support, month-end close, and year-end close.- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.- Coordinate accounting communication and reporting with Japanese headquarters or international stakeholders.- Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.- Fluency in Japanese and English is required.- 6 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, food production, distribution, or international business environment.- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and close processes.- Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.- Ability to lead daily accounting functions while improving controls, procedures, and documentation.- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work effectively with accounting, operations, supply chain, leadership, and international teams.Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with Japanese headquarters, parent companies, or international stakeholders.- Accounting experience in food manufacturing, beverage production, consumer goods, or related manufacturing environments.- Prior experience supporting external audits, tax preparation, regulatory reporting, or accounting team development.- Experience improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy in a growing business environment.Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:The pay transparency policy is available here:For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
