SERVICE MANAGER - HOSPITALIST INTENSIVIST PROGRAM

JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor’s Degree in health care field or business related field. Computer knowledge and experience required. Experience in medical business office preferred. Knowledge of medical billing, medical insurance coverage and coding preferred. Experience Three to five years experience in medical setting preferred. Physical Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards and unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. May be exposed to airborne and infectious materials. Required to stand, walk, sit, push and pull, use fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. JOB SUMMARY The Service Manager: Hospitalist Medicine Programs,enhances the productivity and efficiency of the areas program by managing a multitude of functions, facilitating communication between physicians and other providers, enhancing patient understanding of their hospital care, and promoting timely post-hospital care. Responsible for development of policies and procedures, payor coverage issues, and revenue cycle. Meets regularly with physicians regarding performance/quality issues in each area.
