Engagement Manager

OverviewFMI’s Strategy Practice is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Engagement Manager to join its growing team. FMI’s Strategy Practice focuses on strategic planning, business development, and go-to-market strategy development. We provide industry-best market research that delivers relevant market intelligence to help our clients find growth opportunities, gain insights, and understand the trends that are shaping and influencing our industry.This is a full-time opportunity that requires a significant travel commitment and will be based out of our Houston, Texas office.All applicants for employment must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship not available at this time.ResponsibilitiesConsulting and interacting with people at all levels across a client organization, including senior-level executivesWorking on engagements with multiple clients simultaneouslyActively participating in all phases of the project lifecycle and working closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are metPerforming in-depth assessments to investigate, uncover and understand business issues and processes, and delivering written and/or oral presentations of findingsPerforming primary and secondary market research, including data gathering and analysis, and industry stakeholder interviewsSynthesizing research findings into visually compelling reportsEnsuring superior customer service through follow-up, client responsiveness and customer-focused communicationPreparing articles for industry publications and supporting thought leadership activitiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or building construction is a plus; MBA or an equivalent master's degree from an accredited top-tier college or university is preferredMinimum of three years of professional services experience and strong consultative skillsStrong public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to gain and retain the attention and involvement of sophisticated, challenging audiencesProven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgmentDemonstrated project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skillsDemonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to work in an ambiguous entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team playerFMI provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, a strong 401(k) plan, PTO, and parental leave.FMI is an equal opportunity workplace.
