We’re looking for a Cook 2 to join our culinary team. This is a great opportunity for a developing cook who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in doing things well, and is eager to grow their skills in a collaborative, quality-driven kitchen.

The Role

As a Cook 2, you’ll support daily kitchen production by preparing ingredients, executing foundational cooking techniques, maintaining an organized station, and helping ensure consistent food quality and smooth service. You’ll work alongside experienced cooks and kitchen leadership, building your technical skills and learning WINNER’s recipes, systems, and standards.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, receptive to feedback, and excited to continue developing as a cook.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes, specifications, and production plans.
• Execute foundational cooking techniques, including sautéing, roasting, grilling, boiling, and frying.
• Assist with daily prep, batch production, and service readiness.
• Set up, stock, organize, and maintain your assigned station throughout the shift.
• Label, date, rotate, and store ingredients properly using FIFO practices.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, allergen-management, and temperature-control procedures.
• Communicate clearly with senior cooks and kitchen leadership about station needs, shortages, and operational concerns.
• Contribute to a respectful, collaborative kitchen environment and support other stations as needed.
• Apply feedback, build proficiency across stations, and take an active role in your professional development.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with basic cooking techniques, ingredient preparation, and kitchen organization.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures consistently.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Dependability, punctuality, a positive attitude, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Openness to coaching and an interest in developing greater technical skill and independence.
• Basic English communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
