About Family Services of America Family Services of America (FSA) is a CARF-accredited behavioral health and child welfare organization in Fayetteville, NC, with 14+ years of trauma-informed, evidence-based care (TFTC, SPARCS, TF-CBT). FSA operates the Journey to Home Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) Program, an ORR-funded program providing foster care placement and wraparound services for children in care. The Opportunity The Lead Case Manager coordinates case management and safe and timely release services for children in FSA’s ORR Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) Program, and supervises and trains Case Managers. Child-facing services are provided on-site. This is an ORR key personnel position requiring prior credential approval. Please note: This is a grant-funded, term-limited position for up to three years, aligned to the ORR grant cycle. Continuation is contingent on grant funding. What You Will Own Compliance & Oversight: Direct the case management team to ensure strict adherence to ORR, NCDSS, and CARF compliance standards. Maintain, document, and monitor all service delivery to ensure regulatory requirements are consistently met. Program Coordination: Collaborate with program leadership to implement integrative treatment designs. Ensure consistent communication between supervisors, case managers, and clinical staff to facilitate trauma-informed care. Service Delivery & Case Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of case management, including youth assessment, service planning, and the safe and timely release of UAC in full compliance with ORR policy and procedures. Documentation & EHR: Guarantee accurate and timely entry of all services into client records and databases, ensuring all documentation aligns with state and federal regulations. Staff Leadership & Development: Manage 24/7 staffing schedules to ensure uninterrupted coverage. Lead onboarding and orientation, providing ongoing training and supervision that fosters professional growth and the application of trauma-informed practices. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain active partnerships with external stakeholders, including FOJCs, legal counsel, and community partners, to advocate for timely specialized services and support successful youth adjustment. Administrative Excellence: Facilitate departmental and agency-wide training, maintain active 'user' status in the EHR system, and fulfill 'Administrator On-Call' rotations to ensure efficient, responsive service delivery. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services; OR a Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of progressive experience demonstrating supervisory and case management experience. Must be at least 21 years of age; must pass all ORR-required background investigations (FBI fingerprint, state repository, child abuse/neglect, and DOJ Sex Offender Registry checks) and show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases. ORR prior credential approval required before assuming the position. Preferred Qualifications ORR LTFC case management and safe-and-timely-release experience (strongly preferred). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with UC Portal documentation and trauma-informed case management. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $54,400 – $64,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include group health, dental, and vision insurance; employer-paid basic life insurance (coverage begins after the eligibility period); paid time off and paid federal holidays; professional development; GSA-rate mileage reimbursement; and workers’ compensation per N.C.G.S. § 97-2.
