This isn’t just a job, it's a chance to lead change, drive progress, and leave a lasting legacy.The Pumpstation and Pipeline (PSPL) Team Lead will provide technical support for a broad range of projects, which may include: DW/WW/STMW pipelines and pumping stations planning, design (rehab and replacement), ESDC.In the role we'll count on you to: Lead, mentor, and support a team within the PSPL Business ClassManage workload and adjust staff assignments as needed to deliver quality productsProvide oversight and mentorship on projectsSelect, train, develop, and manage technical personnelSupport hiring initiatives for the PSPL Business ClassAssist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsImplement, monitor and support company policySupport project management activities including planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of mid-sized and large pump station and pipeline projectsLead engineering/process design, project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection and working directly with the owners and clientsInvolved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently.Participate in business development, including client interaction, proposal development, and participation in professional societiesSupport implementing QA/QC procedures, and for the execution of training for personnel as established by BC leadershipMentor local project staff that are less experienced Project Managers to help develop their professional growth.Be active in the recruitment and hiringPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering disciplineA minimum of 10 years of experienceProject management experience leading the planning and design of drinking water/wastewater/stormwater pipeline and pumping station projects. Experience working with multi-discipline teams to complete contract drawings, specifications, and engineering estimates for water utility projects.Technical experience with design (rehab and replacement) and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater pipeline and pumping stations in California.Technical experience with condition assessment of water, wastewater, and stormwater pipelines and pumping stations.#LI-MO1QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 7 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
