Salary: $35 - $65 per hour A bit about us: We are a large, full-service hospital organization providing a wide range of medical services including emergency care, heart and cancer treatment, maternity with a Level II NICU, and advanced surgical procedures like robot-assisted surgery. Why join us?
2. Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and coding professionals to ensure the accurate documentation of patient conditions and treatments.
3. Provide education and training to physicians and other healthcare providers on the importance of complete and accurate documentation.
4. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
5. Analyze and interpret patient data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
6. Participate in the development and implementation of CDI policies, procedures, and strategies.
7. Work closely with the coding team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to medical coding.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or a related field.
2. Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in medical, surgical, trauma, surgery, or Emergency Department.
4. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
5. Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
8. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
9. Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare IT systems.
