Primary Purpose The Assistant Technical Designer is responsible for assisting the design team in all aspects of the design process and provide support as needed. They will be responsible for working with Design, Product Development, & Merchandising teams to meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development – concept through production. Responsibilities Work with Design, Product Development (PD), and Merchandising teams to understand deliverables and meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development – concept through production. Collaborate with designers during prototype rounds to ensure that all specs created reflect the intentions of that designer. Verify accuracy of all information captured in specs by self‑checking sketches & dimensions. Assist the Technical Designer & Senior Technical Designer in executing final product spec updates and corrections for the season, ensuring that any and all changes to the product after market are approved by the design team. Ensure product specs are consistent across all factories and all seasons. Review and correct post‑market samples. Maintain and update digital design details & standards libraries. Research product functionality trends across the market. Create CAD & artwork in Illustrator & Photoshop as needed. Organize, set up, and clean up presentation materials. Maintain the design workroom organization. Qualifications Strong communication and email skills. Detailed note‑taking & organizational skills. Construction knowledge preferred. Flexibility to work in‑office as needed based on the development calendar. Minimum 0–3 years of experience. College degree in fashion design or a related field. Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop required. Experience with Substance 3D a plus. Experience with Raspberry AI, Adobe Firefly AI, or other product design AI a plus. Experience with Microsoft Excel a plus.
