Expect thorough training in our inventory location process which requires a focus on accuracy and detail. There is a family dynamic at The Pond Guy that extends to the customer as we strive to give them the highest quality service possible.Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include.Replenishing the forward pick locations remain stockedCycle counts of inventoryOrganizing and maintaining stock locations within warehousesConsolidating overflow items to optimize warehouse spaceAssist in small parcel and MTR shippingOperate all equipment in a safe and productive manner, following all company prescribed guidelines and safety practicesMaintain clean and organized environmentSkill SetTo be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:3-5 years of experience in shipping experienceHigh School Diploma, College degree preferredOrganized and detail orientedBeginner to Intermediate-level computer experienceAbility to follow procedures methodicallyForklift experience a plusThis position requires the ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods; demonstrate manual dexterity when working with small components; frequently bend, stoop, and stand for long durations; lift, lower, and carry packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs; handle packages up to 150 lbs with assistance; load and unload carts with heavy items (e.g., bags of soil or similar products); and push and maneuver carts with a total load of up to 200 lbs consistently throughout the workday.In addition, this role requires comfort with heights and operating a large turret forklift upon proper training and certification.We need a Shipping Material Handler with a positive attitude that wants to become an expert. You'll offer exceptional customer service by taking the time to follow the process and do things the right way. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks.AvailabilityYou must be available to work between the hours of 8:30 am and 5pm Monday- Friday and at least 2 Saturdays per month during peak times.Compensation This is a full-time hourly position starting at $20+/hour with benefits.
