The responsibilities include operating pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role also involves supervising pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within the guidelines of authorized company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics.

The position requires the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel, leading training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians, and making decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination.

Customer engagement includes greeting customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services, resolving complaints, and responding to requests in a timely manner to ensure a positive customer experience. It also involves developing strong relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services to provide the best experience possible when using the pharmacy.

Operational duties include assisting the pharmacist in the delivery of patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying. The role also involves managing core pharmacy workflow, driving excellence in pharmacy operations, and coordinating and organizing the pharmacy daily schedule of activities.

Additional responsibilities include managing community outreach, leading performance management of technicians, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and maintaining PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.

The position requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico), one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting, fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible schedules, including evening and weekend hours.
