Operational Risk Manager

Overview Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Bruin. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Organization: Bruin Financial — AVP, Risk Management, North America (role based in St. Louis) Location: St. Louis, MO (office-based; relocation required if not within commuting distance) Responsibilities Assess, recommend, develop, and maintain the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) in line with the Firm's ERM framework. Lead the execution and enhancement of the RCSA program, transitioning to a business process-level approach, integrating KRIs, OREs, and new GRC technology. Shape the strategic direction of the RCSA framework, including risk ranking, RCSA refreshes, and continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback. Build and lead a growing team, foster strong business partnerships, and drive engagement through thought leadership, workshops, and tailored process implementation. Prepare executive-level reporting for senior management and the board. Qualifications 10-15 years of relevant experience in Operational Risk management or a related role. Strong and broad knowledge of core Operational Risk Management components and processes, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments, Operational Risk Event reporting and mitigation, Key Risk Indicators, Scenario Analysis, etc. Significant Financial Services experience, preferably in a broking/capital markets environment. Previous management experience (leading a small team). Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, or related field (preferred). Experience partnering with 1st line business units. Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRAC) software and knowledge of how ORM processes are incorporated into GRAC tools, and continuously managed through the tools. Team player who collaborates with other teams and business units. 5 days per week in the office.
