Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our hospital facility in Cupertino, a vibrant and dynamic area that combines a strong sense of community with a focus on health and wellness. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing customized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Guide patients through manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to accelerate recovery.
• Educate patients about rehabilitation practices, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques to empower them in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, noting progress and adjusting treatment plans based on observations or suggestions from the supervising therapist.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss treatment goals and progress, ensuring comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. As a PTA, you will work closely with a diverse range of patients, helping them navigate their rehabilitation journeys and providing them with personalized support. Your empathy and ability to build rapport with patients will be crucial in fostering their motivation and commitment to their therapy plans.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, supplemented by completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California is required.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Proficient knowledge and experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.
• Demonstrated ability in administering therapeutic techniques and patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced outpatient clinic with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with sports injury management and recovery protocols.
• Evidence of continued professional development through workshops or additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
