Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery


Job Details:
Provide cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery support with 5-8 patient encounters per shift
Floor shifts scheduled 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch
On-call coverage from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM next day with 1:2 call schedule
Split call 50/50 with one other PA including every other weekend coverage
Round on post-operative inpatients and provide comprehensive follow-up care
First assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures
See patients in outpatient clinic settings
Perform endoscopic and radial artery harvesting procedures
Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results
Manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
Must maintain active California PA license and California DEA registration
Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime after 8 hours
Credentialing timeframe 60-90 days depending on file completeness


Compensation:
