Early Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment The Production Operator 1 is responsible for safely and efficiently operating various production equipment and executing manufacturing processes to produce high-quality industrial gases and related products, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards. Job Duties: Operate and monitor production equipment, including compressors, pumps, distillation columns, and filling systems, according to established procedures. Perform routine checks, inspections, and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues. Execute production orders, follow batch records, and accurately document all production activities and data. Monitor process parameters, interpret gauges and controls, and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications. Load and unload raw materials, cylinders, and finished products, utilizing forklifts or other material handling equipment safely. Conduct quality control checks and sample products to ensure adherence to established standards. Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to maintenance or supervision. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles. Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations. Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a production operator role. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, safety instructions, and technical documents. Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and noisy environments. Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe). Benefits We care about and support our Airgas Families.
