Human Resources Coordinator

Work Model: In office five days per week Our client is seeking a Human Resources Operations Coordinator to join its Chicago team. This individual will help keep the HR function organized, responsive, and running smoothly while supporting employees throughout their experience with the firm. The position offers broad exposure to HR operations, employee programs, onboarding, learning initiatives, and early career talent. Responsibilities Coordinate onboarding for interns, new graduates, and experienced hires, ensuring each employee has a polished and welcoming start. Assist employees with questions related to HR systems, benefits enrollment, internal programs, and company resources. Process employee updates, employment verifications, relocations, performance review documentation, and offboarding activities. Maintain accurate employee records in Workday and other HR platforms. Create reports, manage trackers, audit data, and follow up on outstanding information. Coordinate logistics for internships, professional development programs, leadership training, and employee learning events. Manage calendars, participant communications, meeting materials, speaker details, surveys, and program evaluations. Identify inefficient or manual processes and recommend solutions that improve accuracy and save time. Use AI and other technology tools to organize data, strengthen reporting, and automate repetitive work. Collaborate with Recruiting, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Workplace Services, and business leaders. Support additional HR projects as priorities and business needs evolve. Qualifications Two or more years of experience in HR operations, HR coordination, employee programs, talent development, campus recruiting, or a related area. Exceptional organization and attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities while adapting quickly when deadlines or business needs change. A proactive approach to identifying issues, following through, and improving processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information. Confidence working independently and taking ownership in a high-performing environment. Experience using technology or AI tools to improve workflows, reporting, or data analysis. Familiarity with Workday or another major HRIS is strongly preferred. Experience supporting internships, early career programs, or employee development initiatives is a plus. A collaborative, curious, dependable, and solutions-oriented approach.
