We’re looking for a Cook to join our Culinary department!

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our Dining Services team. In this role, you will assist the Dining Services Director in preparing appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, and fresh meals for our residents, families, and guests.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare salads, bake desserts, and complete menu meals in a timely manner
• Read, interpret, and follow production sheets and menus
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and the dishwashing machine
• Clean and sanitize ovens, grills, workspaces, and cooking utensils
• Check food orders upon delivery and verify them against invoices
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with residents, families, and team members
• Work collaboratively with the team and assist where needed
• Maintain punctuality and complete tasks within scheduled timeframes

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least two years of experience in food preparation, food purchasing, kitchen safety, sanitation, and menu preparation in a restaurant, healthcare facility, or institutional setting
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Ability to read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels accurately
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, especially seniors
• Willingness to assist other staff members when needed
• First Aid Certification may be required

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to maintain an efficient work pace
• Flexibility with work assignments and scheduling
• Availability for weekend coverage and rotating on-call shifts
