Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Portland, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with 12-hour shifts for days, including 1 in 4 weekends.

Job Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering exceptional care in a high-paced operating room setting. The position involves managing the nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures and providing support to surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique throughout.
• Monitor patient vital signs and implement nursing interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Maintain equipment and assist in preparing the operating room for procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a level 1 trauma operating room setting.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Travel experience is a plus.
