1:1 LPN for Schools

Licensed Practical Nurse

The Caswood Group has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to support a student at a local school.

We are looking for an experienced LPN comfortable working with elementary school-aged children to work every school day, starting immediately through end of June 2027. This position follows the school calendar.

1:1 LPN Job Description is as follows:

• 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday (school days only)
• Must be able to work in an environment with young, active children with emotional or physical disabilities
• Must be reliable, on time and professional
• Toileting assist
• Competitive Pay

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of four years' experience as a LPN
• Experience working with students with emotional or physical disabilities
• Current NYS Nursing License, Active and in good standing
• Meets professional nursing standards and pertinent local, state, and federal requirements
• Federal background check, Drug screen, Agility test, Physical statement/annual health update, MMR & PPD
• Strong clinical communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping
• Physical requirements
• Must possess reliable transportation and be able to travel to and from work
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to sufficiently move equipment without assistance. Must be able to sustain prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting. Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
• Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions, such as, possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
