Work Environment

Your role as a Physical Therapist will take place primarily in patients' homes, making your work environment dynamic and varied. By creating a supportive and personalized atmosphere, you will have the opportunity to engage with patients in their everyday settings, which can enhance motivation and adherence to therapy protocols. Regular team meetings and case discussions will occur at our main clinic, fostering collaboration and professional bonding among multidisciplinary staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments to improve mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, documenting findings and adjustments in treatment plans tailored to each person's unique needs.
• Guide patients through personalized therapeutic exercises, stretches, and mobility activities, ensuring correct technique to promote safety and recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about proper body mechanics, exercise regimens, and self-management strategies to enhance their rehabilitation journey.
• Administer physical therapy modalities such as electrical stimulation and heat/cold therapy while monitoring patient response and progress.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress including tracking metrics such as range of motion and strength improvements.
• Prepare and maintain treatment equipment and stimulation devices, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for use during therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans and outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, creating a positive environment that uplifts patients during their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a varied patient population, including geriatric patients recovering from surgery, children in need of developmental support, and individuals managing chronic pain conditions. Each patient will present unique challenges, allowing you to utilize your skills to adapt treatments effectively and compassionately. As part of your responsibilities, you will strive to build rapport and trust, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship that encourages patient engagement and optimism.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience in a clinical or home care setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in using various physical therapy equipment and modalities.
• High commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care settings is highly desirable, along with familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
