Our organization is currently looking for a Program Director for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ) . This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of a division that is nationally acclaimed for delivering exceptional clinical care to elderly patients and individuals facing serious and advanced illnesses.
Position OverviewThe Program Director for the Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship holds a crucial leadership position, overseeing the daily operations and strategic vision of the fellowship. Responsibilities include the creation and management of a thorough educational curriculum for both inpatient and outpatient settings, while ensuring adherence to all institutional and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in nurturing the future leaders in palliative care, with the program expecting to accommodate six fellows annually.
Qualifications and Requirements- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is essential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in clinical practice within hospice and palliative medicine.
- At least two years of documented educational and/or administrative experience in an ACGME-accredited hospice and palliative medicine program.

Compensation and BenefitsThe full-time clinical base salary within our organization ranges from $125,000 to $750,000. This range is influenced by various factors, including physician specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The stated compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential base salary at the time of this job posting and may be subject to change in the future.
