Job Description

Job Summary:
The CT technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans with professionalism and a focus on patient care. They ensure compliance with safety protocols, maintain equipment, and collaborate effectively with medical staff to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and position CT imaging equipment to acquire precise diagnostic images according to established protocols.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and their families to explain procedures, alleviate anxiety, and ensure privacy and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain supplies, contrast media, and accessories required for each procedure, including sterilization and inventory management.
• Verify patient identification and review medical records, labs, and history prior to imaging.
• Monitor patient condition during contrast injections, respond promptly to any adverse reactions, and notify appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the CT environment, including daily equipment cleaning and stock replenishment.

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT RT (R) and RT (CT) certification, with active NJDEP X-Ray license.
• HS diploma or GED, with completion of a recognized radiography training program.
• Valid BLS certification and venipuncture skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards.
• Ability to operate CT equipment and adhere to QA/QC protocols.
