Skilled Equipment Maintenance Group Leader

Overview Toyota Manufacturing is seeking a Group Leader to support production needs by developing team members and leaders, driving safety, quality, cost and performance objectives. Shift PM shifts: Monday–Thursday (4days×10hours) 8pm–6:30am; Friday–Sunday (3days×12hours) 6pm–6:30am. Responsibilities Manage a group of hourly team leaders and team members to ensure a safe operating environment. Lead and coordinate training and development activities for the production team. Act as the primary communication link between leadership and the production team. Conduct daily management of the assigned area including safety, quality, productivity, cost and team member development. Use problem‑solving skills to eliminate bottlenecks, improve equipment and team member ergonomics. Engage the team in systematic problem‑solving and quality circle activities to build capabilities. Apply engineering principles to resolve daily concerns and develop practical solutions. Plan and manage the area budget, including operating supplies, raw materials, and staffing to continuously improve efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience (10years) in industrial equipment maintenance/engineering in a manufacturing environment. Leadership/supervisory experience (3+years) in a skilled maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or supply‑chain role within a lean manufacturing environment. Proficiency in project management and planning skills. Strong mechanical skills, creativity, and ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical solutions.
