Position Description & Overview The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College has openings for in-person Undergraduate courses for Introduction of Economics and Intermediate Micro-economics for the Fall 2026 semester. Courses will begin on August 31, 2026 and run through December 18, 2026. The courses are fully in-person and all applicants must be able to teach in this modality.

• Introduction of Economics (ECO1201): Tuesday/Thursday 3:00 PM ‑ 4:50 PM. This course introduces people’s economic decision‑making and covers both microeconomic and macroeconomic theory and issues, including markets, supply and demand, business cycles, unemployment, inflation, and economic policy.
• Intermediate Microeconomics (ECO2201): This course focuses on how the price system allocates resources and goods to maximize societal welfare. It examines optimizing behavior of producers and consumers, perfect market outcomes, and the impact of market imperfections such as monopoly, externalities, and power.

Qualifications Master’s degree in business or a related area; Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience is preferred, although related work experience may be considered. The actual pay offered will be determined based on candidate qualifications, prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
