Take a tour of Chart City to get a feel of how Chart equipment solutions impact our daily lives.Our Beasley, TX location is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to perform / lead / manage the design engineering functions of a project including overall machine and equipment package design and creation of production drawings and support new product / project development and product enhancements for Reciprocating Compressors Packages (Piston and Diaphragm) in North America.What Will You Do?Design turbo expander per project specifications using SolidWorks in PLM/PDM managed system.Perform Rotor-dynamics analysisPerform structural analysis of various components, including Modal and harmonic analysis.Specify appropriately sized hardware such as fasteners, o-rings, etc.Prepare design review documentationPrepare and verify detailed drawings for proper dimensions and tolerances.Supervise subordinate engineers.Perform duties of test engineerTest set up-Instrumentation readoutsYour Experience Should Be...Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) 5+ years of experience in air/gas handling, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial environmentsStrong understanding of engineering calculations, drawings, and bills of materialFamiliarity with industry standards (ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, MIL, SAE)Proficient in engineering software (Creo, ANSYS, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office toolsKnowledge of heavy industrial fabrication, welding standards, and mechanical systems (lubrication, cooling, gas lines)Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilitiesStrong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects independentlyDesired skills, knowledge and behaviors:Proficiency in MS Excel and 2D/3D CAD softwareExperience with ERP systems and lean manufacturing practicesExposure to computer programming and continuous improvement initiativesAdvanced degree or Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain one)Our Benefits Package...Medical, dental and vision insuranceEmployer contributions to an HSA accountHealth Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverageBasic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverage401k retirement savings plan including a company match
