VENUE SALES SPECIALIST

The Venue Sales Specialist role is for salespeople with a real track record of closing deals and hitting targets. Here's what makes this different: you're not selling a product. You'll conduct tours that showcase our venues, build relationships with clients, understand what they need, and be the person who helps them book the place where they'll celebrate something huge. THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Master the Product: Develop deep knowledge of each venue, what's included, catering and bar options, available vendors (floral, photography, etc.), and our complete service offerings so you can position the right solution for each couple
• Stay Current: Keep up to date with venue updates, new vendor partnerships, pricing changes, and unique value propositions so you're always speaking from the most current information
• Conduct Venue Tours: Lead couples through our venues, showcase their features and included offerings, and help them envision their celebration
• Build Relationships: Listen to client needs, understand their vision, and guide them toward the right solution
• Close Deals: Use negotiation skills and genuine persuasion to move couples from interested to committed, finalizing contracts
• Manage Your Pipeline: Keep detailed records of all sales activities and opportunities in our CRM so nothing falls through the cracks
• Exceed Sales Goals: Consistently hit and exceed your designated sales targets by effectively managing and converting leads
• Maximize Peak Times: Be available during evenings, weekends, and holidays when couples are most engaged and most ready to make decisions
• Represent Walters: Deliver professional, warm communication at every touchpoint so clients feel the Walters difference from the moment they meet you

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals (hospitality, travel, wedding industry, or similar high-consideration sales strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated success closing deals and managing a sales pipeline
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (email, phone, text, and in-person)
• Ability to learn and retain complex product knowledge (venues, services, pricing, vendor offerings)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for venue visits within the DFW area
• Comfortable working in CRM and sales platforms
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; Walters Hospitality participates in E-Verify
• Must submit to and pass background check
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree a plus

WHAT YOU'LL GET

• Base Salary + Uncapped Commission: Earning potential of $80,000-$100,000+ annually. Top performers who close deals consistently earn well above $100,000. Your income is directly tied to your results.

HOW WE WORK

This is a full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week. You'll spend time at various venues throughout the region conducting tours.

Schedule expectations are as follows: You must be available for a minimum of three evenings per week and a minimum of 12 hours on weekends to conduct tours and meet with couples when they're most available. Beyond those core times, the remaining hours are flexible and can be split between additional evening and weekend availability, daytime appointments, administrative work, and venue visits based on your pipeline and the business needs.

This role requires flexibility around client needs, which means your availability during evenings, weekends, and select holidays is when you'll earn the most commissions and have the most impact.
