The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support within the Strongsville location. A. M. Castle & Co. has over 135 years of experience as a leader in the metals service center industry. Hours: 8am - 4pm Compensation: $18 - $20/hr + bonus eligible PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Requirements: Assists with one or more of the following: • Creates and maintains department/locations documents, files, and records.
• Release orders for production.
• Runs reports.
• Courteously answers and routes phone calls.
• Greets and directs visitors (vendors, sales calls, customers, employees).
• Prepares, processes, receives, sorts, and distributes mail and packages.
• Schedules and coordinates meetings and/or events.
• Orders office supplies and works with IT to ensure office equipment is functioning properly.
• Processes invoices.
• Collaborates with employees in various departments to respond to employee, leader, and/or customer needs.
• Drafts and maintains standard operating procedures and instructions.
• Assists with special projects as requested. QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- PC skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access experience is a plus
- Previous administrative experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365
- Experience in steel warehousing and distribution is helpful
