At Chick-fil-A, the role of a team member in the back of the house is more than just a job; it's an opportunity. In addition to working directly for an independent owner/operator, back of the house team members gain life experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment. They are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for all who they serve each day and ensuring that all guests receive the Chick-fil-A exclusive service and food.

Responsibilities of back of the house team members:
- Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards
- Know the tasks of all requirements and procedures for all cold prep menu items
- Inventory prep areas for stock as needed
- Keep prep areas clean, tidy, and orderly at all times
- Stay up to date with new products launched by Chick-fil-A
- Work safely around kitchen/prep equipment and report any maintenance issues to management
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing internal training and staying updated on any changes
- Complete all assigned opening or closing duties
- Comply with Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
- Other assigned duties

Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are operated by independent franchise business owners who make all their own employment decisions and are responsible for their own content and policies.
