We are looking for skilled production Welders to join our Jonesboro, AR team! This is a 2nd shift position working 4:30 PM to 3 AM Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

·        Performs welding work and activities required to produce Apex products.

·        Weld components at a fast pace and in vertical positions and downward motion.

·        Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt components to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.

·        Select and install troches, torch tips, and filler rods according to chart specifications or types and thicknesses.

·        Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.

·        Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that the desired flames are obtained.

·        Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.

·        Inspect initial product and adjust as necessary to produce the quality product.

·        Maintain equipment in good working condition and report all safety/maintenance concerns.

·        Move materials within the work area.

·        Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.

Qualifications:

·        High school diploma or GED required.

·        Minimum of 1-year work experience in production welding.

·        Demonstrated welding ability.

·        Able to work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week and Saturdays) as required.

·        Stand and walk continuously for 8-10 hours, if necessary.

·        Lift and carry 50 pounds.
