The Vice President will be a key member of the team, driving workstreams and small engagements across the Firm. Projects will vary in size, duration, and complexity; will have significant and measurable business value outcomes; and will be highly visible with executive-level sponsorship.The Vice President, will operate within a relatively flat organization and work closely with senior leaders within the Productivity organization while leading the day-to-day activities of workstreams or small projects in ongoing engagements via a matrix management structure.RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, lead, and manage all phases of workstreams or small projects; drive project execution and delivery, anticipate issues and risks, develop and execute mitigation strategiesDevelop and maintain rigorous project plans and manage tactical project requirements including resources, relationships, and tasksIndependently think through and structure analysis plans and drive solutions to problems through identification of initial hypotheses, and creation of frameworks and methodologiesLead the analysis of complex sets of data and business processes independently and guide, instruct, manage, and mentor junior workstream membersHelp teams to synthesize clear findings and recommendations from complex result sets using qualitative and quantitative analysis methodsDrive the development of the best solutions and communicate to project sponsors and senior stakeholders to motivate them to take actionManage engagement of key stakeholders and drive adoption of recommendations and solutionsCreate and manage the process for creation and sharing of re-usable intellectual capital, lessons learned, and contributions of relevant content to Productivity’s knowledgebaseOptimize and design business and operating models, streamline organization structures, analyze, simplify, re-design, and rationalize process models, and design governance and policy programsDevelop and assess innovation opportunities, identify new sources of growth, and model new value propositionsCollaborate with business and functional stakeholders to identify significant opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimizationQUALIFICATIONS:At least 3 to 6 years in a major management consulting firm, or equivalent experience in a large Financial Services companyPrior experience leading and managing workstreams and small project teams in structuring, coordination, and management of activities of multiple analysts in creation of project artifactsExceptional written and verbal communications skills with experience influencing senior stakeholdersMastery in the use of PowerPoint for development of project presentations and deliverablesKnowledge and experience in the financial services industryBachelors degree with high marks in an analytical field; Masters degree preferredPREFERRED COMPETENCIES (some of the below):Skilled leadership in driving workstreams of large-scale transformation projects or high-impact initiativesProject planning, status reporting and ongoing project managementExecutive-level stakeholder diplomacy, influencing, managementSkilled in guiding, influencing, and convincing team members, colleagues, and stakeholdersCommunications, training, and change managementAnalysis plan and framework development and executionHypothesis generation, data analysis, root cause identificationProcess analysis, rationalization, and designBusiness case and financial model developmentInitiative structuring, planning, and road-mappingFunctional expertise in one or more areas of the businesThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
