Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Experienced surgical nurses are needed to provide skilled care in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to put your expertise to work in a high-acuity setting, supporting surgical teams with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) nursing role
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and required)
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and operational
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe patient care
• Monitor patients’ status throughout each procedure, anticipating needs and intervening as necessary
• Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with regulations and best practices
