Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

Job TitleSalary: $55,930To assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects while maintaining Pride's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (ProductionWare) throughout all areas of Domestic and International ManufacturingResponsibilities/Duties:Prepare production layouts for new processesCreate and maintain layout drawings for new and existing processesPerform time studies on processes and perform field tests using standard instruments and proceduresDevelop and maintain detailed work procedures or assembly of simple to complex proceduresReview Engineering Change Requests (ECR's) and update existing procedures accordinglyProvide direct support to Production for root cause of assembly issues and assist in developing a recommended solution for any production issueTrain operators on new or updated proceduresAssemble and install new or altered mechanical equipment, parts, and machine toolsAssist with repairing and maintaining engineered machineryCollect and maintain database information for engineering projectsCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on special projectsMaintain Pride's MES (ProductionWare) system by completing change requests, implementing new work instructions, updating filters and commands both Domestic and InternationalTroubleshoot and resolve MES system hardware and software issuesUse the Production Scheduler to complete migration testing and close out test ordersOrganize, maintain, and reorder production tool and IT equipment used on the production floorSupport Productions Print on Demand Process both Domestic and InternationallyAssign and maintain Deviations that affect Manufacturing through Pride's MES (ProductionWare) systemAssist with future implementations of Pride's MES (ProductionWare) System throughout all International Manufacturing FacilitiesEnsure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to managementComplete the annual CTPAT Security TrainingFocus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgmentWork effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectationsPride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessaryRequired Skills:Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to: multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environmentUse hand tools and standard power toolsRead and comprehend work instructionsPrepare and present summary reportsUse precision measuring instruments which includes micrometers, calipers, and volt metersWork extended hours to perform repairs, installation of new equipment, and meet project deadlinesLift/push/pull 40 lbs.Must have:Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvementIntermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPointExcellent web navigation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Skills:Basic understanding of Production Test Fixture design, Lean Principles, and Lean and Flow Manufacturing Principles preferredBasic working knowledge of AutoCAD engineering software preferredBasic working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, Adobe Illustrator, and Production Control Systems preferredRequired Experience:At least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processes OR an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field with a successful internship experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processesPreferred Experience:At least 1 year of experience using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and volt meters preferredAt least 2 year of experience Single Piece Flow, and Manufacturing Standards such as 5S, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and DFT preferredCurrent or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferredRequired Education:High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field preferredRequired Qualifications:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the futureDetails:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusiveThis is a safety sensitive positionIn exceptional circumstances, some of the physical requirements of this position may be modified or eliminated as a reasonable accommodation for a person with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities ActPride Mobility Products®/Quantum Rehab® is an Equal Opportunity employer.
