Location: North Bergen, NJ 07047

Duration: 09/06/2026 – 11/14/2026 (10 Weeks)

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours/Week

Schedule Notes: Weekend night position. Holidays required as needed. No floating required. No on-call requirement. Minimum 1 year of CT experience required. CT post-processing and PACS (Fuji) experience required. 2 years of CT experience preferred. Knowledge of Epic EMR preferred. NJ ARRT-CT certification required. BLS required.

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year of CT Scan experience required.
• Two (2) years of CT Scan experience preferred.
• Experience performing CT post-processing is required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiologic positioning of the human body.
• Understanding of CT software and hardware.
• Thorough knowledge of PACS systems.
• Knowledge of Epic EMR preferred.
• Knowledge of HIS/RIS systems preferred.
• Maintain required continuing education (CEU) credits.

Education

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist Program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Licenses & Certifications

• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
• ARRT Registered Technologist R.T.(R) License.
• NJ ARRT-CT / ARRT (CT) Certification Required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• ARRT Registered Technologist R.T.(CT) preferred.

Job Summary

The CT Scan Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures and related imaging techniques to produce sectional and three-dimensional diagnostic images for interpretation. The technologist prepares patients for CT procedures, administers contrast media when prescribed, monitors patient safety during examinations, and supports interventional and therapeutic procedures while maintaining imaging quality and departmental standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review patient clinical history and document required information in PACS.
• Prepare, screen, and review contrast questionnaires in Epic.
• Administer contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Verify exam appropriateness and communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians when clarification is needed.
• Verify insurance-authorized exam scripts and submit exam modification forms for re-verification.
• Obtain outside imaging studies and ensure they are available in PACS for comparison.
• Evaluate CT images using PACS to ensure diagnostic quality and proper patient identification.
• Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding, positioning, immobilization, venipuncture, IV patency, and IV maintenance.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during CT procedures.
• Provide patient education and instructions before and after procedures.
• Support weekend, holiday, and overtime coverage as required by the Radiology Department.
