Cath Lab RNProfession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 10-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: WA License or Compact License required Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: - Experience with Structural Heart cases - Circulating and Monitoring experience in the Cath Lab - Travel experience preferredDescription: The Cath Lab consists of 2 suites with an average of 8-10 cases per day. The RN circulates and monitors cases while also performing procedural sedation. Sedation testing will be conducted prior to arrival. Scrubbing is primarily performed by techs, although it is preferred for RNs. The facility is a STEMI receiving center. On-call duties include overnights, holidays, and weekends. Weeknight call occurs approximately once a week. Weekend call requirements include 1-2 weekends every 6 weeks, from Friday evening to Monday morning. The call response time is 30 minutes. Currently, RNs are not floating outside of the Cath Lab except in specific circumstances. Scrubs will be provided daily upon arrival for work. Orientation will include 1 week of training, with 3 days on-unit participation and a weekend buddy call.
