- # VP, Technology Risk AssuranceApply: Saint Petersburg, Florida - United States: Full time: Posted Today: R-0013468**Job Description Summary**The Vice President, Technology Risk Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for providing enterprise-wide accountability for Technology Risk Assurance and the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) organization at Raymond James. This executive leads the firm's first-line technology risk governance framework, drives independent assurance activities across the technology control environment, and serves as a key partner to Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business leadership. The role is responsible for ensuring transparent, effective, and proactive management of technology and cybersecurity risk, while maintaining strong engagement with regulators, auditors, and governance committees. As the senior leader overseeing technology assurance and risk transparency, this position provides strategic direction, leads multiple senior leaders, and serves as the single point of accountability for coordinating technology risk priorities across the enterprise.**Job Description*****This role is a hybrid workstyle: with the associate expected to work from a Raymond James office location at least three days per week, including either Monday or Friday.******Raymond James’ work environment is designed to reinforce our values-based culture while supporting the competitiveness, profitability, and long-term growth of our firm.******Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.*****Required Skills & Experience:*** Significant senior leadership experience in technology risk, cybersecurity, controls, audit, assurance, or related disciplines, preferably within financial services or another highly regulated industry.* Deep knowledge of technology and cybersecurity risk frameworks, controls governance, risk assessments, control testing, penetration testing oversight, technical assurance, and issue remediation.* Experience leading regulatory examinations, audit engagements, risk exception processes, and enterprise-wide remediation programs.* Demonstrated success managing complex technology and cybersecurity risks in large, enterprise environments.* Proven ability to lead leaders, influence senior executives, and build strong partnerships across business and technology organizations.* Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business impacts and strategic recommendations.**Preferred:*** Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, CPA, or equivalent.* Advanced degree in a related field* Deep understanding of the Financial Services Industry* Experience leading Business Information Security Officer (BISO) organizations **Essential Duties:*** Strategic Leadership & Governance* Technology Risk & Assurance* Regulatory, Audit & Compliance Engagement* Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Leadership* Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management* Talent Leadership**Responsibilities*** Lead the Technology Risk Assurance and BISO organizations, establishing strategy, governance, and operating priorities.* Oversee enterprise technology risk management practices, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and escalation.* Direct assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of technology and cybersecurity controls, including control testing, technical assurance reviews, and penetration testing governance.* Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business leaders to drive effective risk management and control execution.* Serve as the primary executive liaison for technology-related regulatory examinations, audits, and external assessments.* Ensure timely remediation of technology risk issues, audit findings, and regulatory concerns.* Develop and deliver executive-level reporting that provides clear visibility into technology and cybersecurity risks, control effectiveness, and emerging threats.* Lead, develop, and mentor senior leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.* Advise executive leadership and governance committees on technology risk strategy, emerging risks, and organizational risk posture. **Scope and Impact**This role has enterprise-wide responsibility for technology risk assurance and serves as a critical leadership position responsible for strengthening Raymond James' technology risk posture, maintaining regulatory confidence, improving transparency into risk exposure, and ensuring effective governance of the technology and cybersecurity control environment.
