STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Details Job Location: COMANCHE NATION CASINO - LAWTON, OK 73502 Education Level: High School Salary Range: $27.69 Hourly Travel Percentage: None SCOPE OF POSITION POSITION WILL WORK IN LAWTON Staff Accountant – Responsibilities Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws, gaming regulations, and CNE policies and procedures. Exercises judgment in selecting the most appropriate guidelines, references, and procedures. Interprets and records business transactions, including processing daily inputs (revenues, commissions, cash transactions, etc.) to the General Ledger. Ensures transactions are correct, adequately documented, and recorded. Assists with daily review of audit findings for consistent problems, corrections, and breaches of internal controls. Responsible for timely, accurate financial reporting. Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules required by applicable laws and regulations. Reconciles General Ledger accounts, bank statements, and other balance sheet accounts, including cash in ATMs, kiosks, and CDMs. Performs month‑end closing activities, recording necessary accruals, prepaid expense adjustments, unearned revenue recognition, and asset depreciation. Responds to questions and requests timely, accurately, and completely; provides excellent customer service to coworkers and guests. Assists the Senior Staff Accountant in training and assigning tasks to accounting staff. Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS The position involves regular communication with coworkers, use of computer and office equipment, and occasional movement within the office. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (accounting preferred). OR Minimum of one year of accounting‑related work experience (casino experience preferred). Demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles, familiarity with GAAP, and ability to grasp financial policies and controls. Strong problem‑solving abilities. Stable employment history. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with accounting software used by CNE preferred. Ability to report for duty as scheduled, work long hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) to meet deadlines, and work under stressful conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
