Job Summary

Purchasing is responsible for the procurement of all materials and services including but not limited to job requirements, shop supplies, consumables, etc. Purchasing responsibilities include checking inventory, and material procurement, PO follow-up and scheduling material and service deliveries. Must be able to effectively manage the correlation between PO due dates and customer due dates to help maintain our OTD goals. Additional duties include maintaining various logs, creating & reviewing documents. Purchasing is also responsible for performing some of the various tasks associated with manufacturing, understanding work orders, verbal instructions and the various requirements set forth by TBT and its Quality Management System.

Essential Functions

1. Place PO's for material and OSP's per TBT approved supplier list.

2. Follow up on PO's to make sure customer due dates are not compromised.

3. Source and obtain quotes for various materials and processes.

4. Responsible to maintain location for vendor required fixtures.

5. Meet goals and objectives in a timely manner.

6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

7. Follow procedures and use common sense to maintain a safe working environment.

8. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

9. Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.

10. Perform various other tasks as assigned.

Peripheral Duties

1. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.

2. Assists in formulating a strategic plan.

3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, unique smells, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts and other dangers associated with manufacturing (cutting, deburring, etc.). TBT has safety equipment and safety standards in place to help maintain a safe work environment.

Working Hours

Monday Thursday 6:00 AM 4:30 PM. Overtime maybe required on an as needed basis.

Physical Requirements

Lifting up to 50lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity,and visual acuity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apple Valley, CA 92308.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
